Join Björklunden, Peninsula School of Art, and Write On for an exciting hands-on Zine Making Workshop led by Bronwyn Mauldin. Zines are hand-made publications where you can share your thoughts and ideas through text, images, and collage. Bronwyn will walk you through a simple four-step process to make a zine inspired by your reflections of Are We Listening?, the new art installation by Rebecca Carlton. You will walk away with a very special zine that you can keep for yourself or share with family and friends. No prior art skills required. Scissors, glue, and paper will be provided. Please bring your own favorite pens, markers, colored pencils. Also, if you have old magazines, calendars, encyclopedias, or other material that you wish to donate for cutting into to make collages, please bring those along as well.
Bronwyn Mauldin is a writer and zine-maker based in Los Angeles who is leading the Democracy Book Club seminar at Björklunden.
