Artist James Mihaley returns to Write On to offer his popular creativity retreat designed to get you writing!

Do you know in your heart that you’re a writer but have never pursued the dream?  Or are you a seasoned writer who is struggling a bit, wondering if you’ve lost your creative spark?  Join us for two fun filled days of indulging your desire to put words on paper.  Participants will be given fun, heart-centered writing prompts from the teacher. By the end of the writing retreat, you’ll be astounded by what you’ve produced!  All blockages will be removed.  No one will be able to convince you that you’re not a writer. Sessions will take place on Write On’s 39-acre property. Participants will find inspiration in the meadow classroom, along the hiking trails, in the old orchards and hardwood forests, and in Norbert Blei’s Coop.

Registration includes an optional one-on-one consultation with the teaching artist. Consultations will be scheduled for Friday, August 5. Other arrangements may be made if mutually convenient for both parties.

Tuition for the two-day retreat is $250.00. Write On members receive a 10% discount. To become a member and save, please click here. James Mihaley is a multi-platform artist. He is an award-winning children’s author published by Macmillan. As a storyteller for adults, he was recently commissioned to write ‘Diamonds From The Rough’, a book about a boatyard in a small Wisconsin town named Palmer Johnson that achieved legendary success.  Actively involved in the movie business, James wrote and produced a documentary short film called ‘Fog’ about the homeless crisis.  Bobby Weir, co-founder of the Grateful Dead, contributed original music for the project, along with Joe Satriani.  Skywalker Sound, owned by George Lucas, did the sound design for ‘Fog’, which premiered at the San Francisco Jazz Center in January of 2022.  When he’s not making movies or writing books, James pours his passion for acting into cutting edge Social Media videos that have appeared on major news channels around the nation. He is a yoga and meditation specialist and a big believer in joy.
