Project Feed Our Neighbors Door County

Write On is a collection site for Project Feed Our Neighbors, an initiative of Destination Door County who is hosting a community food drive from October 31 through December 31 to replenish the critically low shelves at local food pantries. This effort is a proud collaboration between the communities of Door, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc Counties.

Your generous donations of non-perishable food items will go directly to helping our neighbors facing food insecurity right here in Door County. We especially encourage donations of:

• Canned and boxed food items
• Non-perishable items such as powdered milk, cereals, grains, and snacks
• Non-perishable meal kits such as a can of pasta sauce and package of noodles
• Proteins such as peanut butter, canned meats and fish, or beans
• Baby food and formula

Additionally, food drives will be held on various dates at various locations:

• Saturday, November 15, from 9 am to 5 pm in the parking lot of Tadych’s MarketPlace, 1250 N. 14th Ave., Sturgeon Bay.
• Saturday, November 22, Door County Granary, 72 E. Locust Ct., Sturgeon Bay
• Saturday, December 13, Walmart Parking Lot, 1536 Egg Harbor Rd., Sturgeon Bay
