This dynamic and generative workshop will offer a typology of top favorite effective writing techniques and a system of easy to digest scientific underpinnings to such crucial processes as habit formation, focused thinking, dopamine reward pathways, and neuroscience of attention and creative flow.

Teaching Artist: Anna da Silva is a writer and a sociology professor at Lehman College, CUNY. She is the co-founder of The Salty Quill writing retreat and Vice-President of Off-Campus Writing Workshop. Anna lives in Chicago, where she is writing short stories and working on a novel.
