A week-long creative camp for writers ages 7 to 12

The amazing and incredible Kate McKy returns to Write On, Door County! A week with children’s picture book author and journalist Katie McKy means so much more than writing! Write On is a big, beautiful place and Katie will squeeze every drop of fun and creativity out of the woods and out of the writers. Come ready to play, day after day, on paper and on the paths! For the grand finale of the writers’ week, Katie is thinking about building a haunted house, but she can’t do it alone. Come! Have fun! Be spooky!

Powered by goofiness, inspired by silliness, energized by imagination, kids will discover the stories only they can tell with beloved children’s author Katie McKy! Play is the order of each day with plenty of movement inside and outdoors! Katie McKy, author of Wolf Camp, Pumpkin Town, It All Began With a Bean, and Tough Kids, Tough Classroom, lives in Maine. She visits scores of schools every year, where she performs and teaches writing. In the summer, she retreats into the cultivated tranquility of her garden and the wild tranquility of the Canadian wilderness.
