About the Book:

Lost and Found is a collection of poetry that dives into some of the author’s most difficult life moments, from abuse to misuse to family relations and loss; from the efforts of protective service works to a Cherokee grandmother’s story. The poems explore moments of life that have kept her strong: time with family, a spring thunderstorm, the grace of birds soaring, the beginning of romance and friendship during a walk on the beach. These poems come with the intention of sharing, inspiring, and helping others heal. Idealy, they help readers know they are not alone on this journey. The author offers special thanks to protective service workers, who daily walk into work not knowing who or what they will encounter. 

About the Author:

Sammi Rae lives by the questions, “Are you happy? Are you kind to others?” She is a Reiki master teacher, a past life practicioner, and author. Her love of writing poetry comes from knowing that the ‘five minute moments” of life either break us or give us joy. We can help each other heal and find joy if we share the best and hardest times in life. She is the author of two books of poetry, The Door Wide Open in Motion and The Door Wide Open (Pickles to Poetry).
