An Evening with Dave Cubiak

Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the Dave Cubiak Door County Mystery Series with award-winning author Patricia Skalka. In this special program, Patricia will discuss the ideas that inspired each book and read excerpts that trace Cubiak’s journey as he navigates the rocky road of grief and moves forward in life. USA Today call the first book in the series, Death Stalks Door County, an “evocative read–Wisconsin’s book.”

Weather permitting, this event will be held outside at the Olson Family Memorial Council Ring. Light refreshments will be served.

Patricia Skalka is the award-winning author of the Dave Cubiak Door County mystery series. A former President of Sisters in Crime Chicagoland, she is a member of WisSINC, the Wisconsin Writers Association, and The Authors Guild of America. Designated a Notable Wisconsin Author by the Wisconsin Library Association, Patricia serves on the board of the Society of Midland Authors. Patricia turned to fiction and mystery writing after a successful career as a nationally published freelance writer and staff writer for Reader’s Digest.
