AN EVENING OF STORIES AND MUSIC with Cathy Grier and Jeremy Owens

Join us for an evening of storytelling and music with playwright/author Jeremy Owens and singer/songwriter Cathy Grier. Light refreshments will be served. Open to all.

A professional musician since 1978, Cathy Grier has opened for Laura Nyro, The Band, Dave Mason, and Joan Armatrading. In 1986, she won an MTV Basement Tape Award. She has lived and performed in Key West, France, and New York City and now makes her home in Sturgeon Bay because it is beautiful and has a great music scene. A Blues musician since she began writing songs as a young guitarist, Cathy believes that the Blues is a feeling and a way of expressing life through music.

Jeremy Owens is the creator, producer and host of You’re Being Ridiculous, a long running Chicago live-lit/storytelling show most recently featured at Steppenwolf Theatre. His writing has been featured in Chicago Magazine, Alma, Heauxs Magazine and others, he is also a core faculty member of Story Studio Chicago where he teaches storytelling and LGBTQ+ nonfiction writing. Jeremy’s solo play BIG GAY NIGHTMARE premiered at Steppenwolf July 2023, and will be featured at Theatre Squared in Fayetteville, Arkansas in May 2024.
