This interactive workshop will focus on supporting adult participants who aim to either begin a fiction story or advance/enhance works in progress. Participants will be asked to bring their nascent ideas or drafts of a story or scene that they would like to improve or build out. During the first hour, participants will share their writing and their challenge with the group. We’ll then segue into several interactive exercises that will help you discover and generate further inspiration, ideas, and direction for your project. In the second hour, participants will have the option to share what they’ve written as a result of the generative activites with the group for feedback, encouragement, and/or further prompts. All can expect to leave the workshop with new writing and generative strategies.
Class meets in person Tuesday, May 12, 10 am – noon.
Class size: Minimum 5, maximum 15.
