A powerful full kick-off to the 2026 Door County Film Festival, this event is sponsored with Friends of Door County Libraries, the Door County Library Foundation, Literacy Door County, and the League of Women Voters Door County.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kim A. Snyder, The Librarians follows the growing movement to restrict access to books and information in public libraries, and the librarians who are pushing back to protect intellectual freedom, democratic values, and the freedom to read. It centers on the voices of those on the front lines of the issue, librarians who have risked their positions, and in some cases their careers, to keep access to literature and ideas available to the public.
