Write On is a promotional partner for SoCal Science Writing’s free online program.
What if our most troubling environmental problems have easy solutions we can all adopt? Join SoCal Science Writing for a discussion with Pulitzer Prize-winning science writer Edward Humes about his latest book, Total Garbage: How We Can Fix Our Waste and Heal Our World. Humes, the author of 17 books of nonfiction, will be interviewed by former Write On resident, journalist JoBeth McDaniel. He will then take audience questions.
Though free, registration is required. To register for the discussion, please click here. To find out more about the organization and their programs, please visit SoCal Science Writing.
The event is presented online via Zoom at 7 pm Central/5 pm Pacific.
SoCal Science Writing is a regional group of science writers, broadcasters, editors, and PIOs based in Southern California and run by a volunteer group of independent journalists.
Our goal is to foster connections between local science communicators, improve the professional lives of our group members, and ultimately enhance the public understanding of science.
