An afternoon of Poetry, Presence, & Healing Through Words with Lachrisa Grandberry

Join Milwaukee-born, Chicago-based multi-faceted artist Lachrisa Grandberry for a two-hour immersive afternoon of poetry, reflection, and conversation. Through curated readings from her collection Shredding Rugs, Lachrisa explores truth-telling, resilience, generational healing, and the radical act of speaking what once felt unspeakable. The afternoon will include extended live readings, insight into Lachrisa’s creative process across poetry and theater, and guided audience conversation about how words help us process grief, trauma, love, and becoming.

Whether you are a writer, an artist, or simply someone who has ever needed language to make sense of your life, this event offers an invitation to listen, reflect, and engage. Books will be available for signing following the program. Light refreshments will be served. Presented in collaboration with kindgoods of Sister Bay.
