Remembering Barbara Larsen

Barbara Larsen served as the second Poet Laureate of Door County, April 2011 – March 2013. She passed away June 13, 2024, at the age of 97. Barbara’s poetry, inspired by her Wisconsin roots, her experiences as an only child, and her deep connection to nature, garnered regional attention and praise. She shared her love for literature through teaching, readings, and published collections.

Poets and friends of Barbara’s will gather to share her poetry, along with comments and conversations. Light refreshments will be provided.
