It’s with huge gratitude that Bhakti and I leave this remarkable retreat center in this remarkable corner of the world. WODC rigs things in favor of those who write and this gesture is becoming more rare in our industry-generated culture. So necessary for the times in which we live. See my WODC sonnet which says it as well as I can say it.
Being on the edge of the Niagara Escarpment is, I’m convinced, an energy vortex which is both calming and yet, also, invigorating. I was “tapped in” here and that’s what writers seek.
Add to all this a genuine Midwestern warmth (which I miss) and you have the materials for magic.
May it continue!
Huge thanks and blessings,
