Nancy Fishman is a 56-year-old emerging writer working in fiction enrolled in the MFA in Creative Writing program at San Francisco State University. She holds a degree in English with an Emphasis on Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For the past 25 years, she has worked as a film publicist, distributor and festival curator. She lives in Oakland, California, with her partner of 22 years, Nina, and two cats. She is working on a novella set in the near future that explores, among other topics, how technology is changing American society and how we relate to one another.
