YOUTH WORKSHOP: “Seeing” Your Scenes
June 12 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
FOR WRITERS IN GRADES 5 – 8
Use your surroundings to propel your story!
Take a minute and look around. Can you picture a scene from your story or book taking place here? Would that grove of trees provide the perfect backdrop for a secret meeting? Would the shadows hide the identities of the characters? What about that pond? And where does that winding trail lead? Might it help build suspense or tension in your story?
Join author Kathleen (K.M.) Waldvogel as she explains how you can use your surroundings to propel your story forward. We’ll start indoors for a discussion, then venture outside for some inspiration.
This program will be presented in-person and is limited to 12 participants. We will follow current public health guidelines. Tuition for the program is $15. Write On members receive a 10% discount.
