WRITING NATURE NEARBY with Amber Stoner
Let’s turn our attention to the flora, fauna and landscapes nearby us. To capture our impressions in writing, Amber Stoner will lead a session on how to use writing prompts to look closer, to interact with nature, and to write freely on the page. This online class will help you deepen your sense of place and strengthen your relationship to nature nearby. No writing experience necessary.
All registrants will receive a nature writing journal, handmade by Amber. Registration for this one hour virtual class is $20, plus $3.50 for shipping of the journal. Amber D. Stoner is a writer and book artist living in Minnesota. She’s also a hiker, paddler, and mother to two teens. Amber was a Loft Mentor Series finalist in Creative Nonfiction in 2010 and 2011. Her writing has appeared in River Teeth blog, Creative Nonfiction, and MinnPost.com. Her handmade books have been in exhibition at Minnesota Center for Book Arts and included on The Floating Library, a Minnesota public art project. As a child, she wrote in a tree by the Mississippi River. As an adult, writing outside and about nature continues to deepen her connection to people, places, plants and all sorts of critters.
