ONLINE MULTIGENRE WRITING WORKSHOP with Raki Kopernik

A multi-genre workshop
WRITING YOUR QUEER IDENTITY
This workshop invites LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to spend the morning writing and sharing stories with a focus on normalizing our queer identities and families in the modern world. Using guided prompts, participants will explore memory through senses to create new work in memoir, poetry, or hybrid form. We will have time for discussion and to share work (optional).
Open to ages 16 +, new as well as seasoned writers.

Raki Kopernik is a queer, Jewish fiction and poetry writer. She is the author of The Things You Left (Unsolicited Press 2020), The Memory House (The Muriel Press 2019) a 2020 Minnesota Book Award finalist, and The Other Body (Dancing Girl Press 2017). Her work has appeared in numerous publications and has been nominated for several other awards, including the Pushcart Prize for fiction. She lives in Minneapolis.
