NONFICTION WORKSHOP: Unlocking Personal Narrative
July 27 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Turn events into stories
UNLOCKING PERSONAL NARRATIVE with Constance Malloy
This workshop is designed to help the writer of memoir understand how to turn an event into a story, to recognize the gift of scene mashing, and to learn when they have crossed a boundary and are now telling someone else’s story. The main exercise for participants will involve mapping out a scene from their life using Freytag’s Pyramid. Using examples from her own work, Constance Malloy will demonstrate how she turned an event into a story.
