Join us for an intimate evening of fiction and conversation with award-winning novelists Jane Hamilton and Jackie Polzin.

Due to the ever-evolving status of the COVID-19 pandemic, Write On, Door County will now be requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test result within 48 hours of any classes, workshops, or conferences. An image of a vaccine card or an image of negative test results within 48 hours of the Write On event are both acceptable. Both are not required – only one is necessary.

Jane Hamilton is the critically-acclaimed author of several novels. Her debut, The Book of Ruth, won the PEN/Hemingway Award for first fiction. The Short History of a Prince was a Publishers Weekly Best Book of 1998. A Map of the World was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year and named one of the top ten books of the year by Entertainment Weekly, Publishers Weekly, the Miami Herald, and People. Both The Book of Ruth and A Map of the World have been selections of Oprah’s Book Club. Other works include Disobedience, When Madeline Was Young, and The Excellent Lombards. She lives in and writes in an orchard farmhouse in Wisconsin.
Jackie Polzin is the author of Brood, a darkly funny and startlingly original meditation on life and longing, full of sorrow, joy and unrelenting hope. It will stand beside such modern classics as H is for Hawk and Gilead. Jackie lives in St. Paul, MN, with her husband, two children, and a small dog.
