I’ve slept deeply, walked often and luxuriated in silence and stillness and the thousand little flutterings of bees and birds and insects – these simple things that are vital to my writing grain and so hard to catch hold of in my regular life.
Thank you, Door County, for letting me be a writer this week, which means as much listening to the wind in birch leaves as it does clacking at a keyboard.
