Submissions of short stories and poetry are now being accepted for the Norbert Blei Literary Award. Judges are Judith Barisonzi (short story) and Jean Feraca (poetry). Ralph Murre was appointed Poet Laureate of Door County on March 24, 2015. He succeeds Estella Lauter, who has held the post since 2013. Murre will serve in the position until March 31, 2017.

Carolyn Byrne is a writing instructor and MFA candidate in the University of Minnesota’s Graduate Creative Writing program. She hails from Long Island, New York, and after graduating from Cornell University, spent four years as a civilian employee of the Department of Defense. She is currently working on her first collection of short fiction.
