I was at Write On for the first time just about a year ago and that week recommitted me to the novel I’m working on, inspiring me to set my alarm an hour and a half earlier each morning all year to keep the momentum going. How wonderful to recharge again this week as I approach the final stretch of the draft. Board member Ann and Jaime went above and beyond in helping me avert the disaster of a missing laptop charger, and then in helping me recover from my fluster and embarrassment of filling the house with toxic smoke as I put the electric kettle on the gas burner when making my morning tea. What kindness! I’m so grateful to the thoughtfulness that goes into maintaining this property and community of people devoted to writing.
