What a gift I’ve been given by Write On and the people who make it possible. I’ve cracked open parts of my novel that have eluded me all year. Walking through the squeaking door into the Coop became like passing through a veil, where the world I was creating was more present than all the workaday cares that had been tethering me to literal reality all year. I named a character Norb in the Coop’s honor! Being able to stand walk the paths, to stretch my body and mind without leaving the world I created was one of the many things that made this week perfect. Thank you for recognizing the importance of quiet, space, and time for writers. Best wishes to all who come after me, and I hope I’ll be back!
