Writing a mystery? Writing a literary, YA, or sci fi novel? Although fiction books differ by genre, they share one common purpose: to take the reader on a journey of discovery. All novels need credible characters; a goal and the quest to achieve it; sustained action; obstacles and disappointments; elements of suspense; and a satisfying resolution. In this workshop we’ll discuss ways to bolster these basic elements and learn how to weave them together to take your story to a higher level.
