Write On is pleased to enter our third year of collaboration with Midsummer’s Music Festival!
Local and visiting poets were asked to create original poems based on music to be played at one of Midsummer’s concerts. Poets were sent a CD of music to be performed the night of their concert, but with no information as to the composers or other details. Poets were asked to write a poem or poems in response to the emotions evoked by the music they heard. Music and Poetry will take place at eight of Midsummer’s concerts, occurring at different venues throughout the county. The featured poet for tonight’s concert is Albert DeGenova.
